I've been too harsh on poor old Col. Conk

Stupid thread, I know, but just wanted to say that I've had a travel sized (mini) tub of Col. Conk Bay Rum sitting in my cupboard because I forbade myself to dig into more soaps while I already have 10 others on the go.. But I whipped up a test lather in my hand tonight and it made a surprisingly very thick, slick, cushiony lather that it did not do on my first attempt of bowl lathering it a long time ago.

I have arrived at the conclusion I've been too harsh on good ol' Conk because this lather would make even the pickiest people happy, I am sure of that.

Long story short: I am looking forward to trying more. The name Col. Conk makes me giggle but the lather aint half bad!

I agree with you, good 'ol Conk gets some bad press! My first soap is almond Conk and it gives very good lather and smells great too. I'm going to use it tonight!

I do use the conk for super lather

I tried the Col.'s bayrum soap, it performed pretty well, I was disappointed the scent wasn't stronger plus I had a mild allergic reaction to it...other than that is was spectacular LOL

Yeah the scent is weak, I will definitely agree with that. Hopefully I don't have an allergic reaction to it like you; I haven't actually shaved with it yet..
