Italian shave soaps longevity

Gentlemen,

I have heard or perhaps read that some of the Italian soaps like Cella and P.160 can "go bad" sooner than other soaps. I wonder if anyone has had that type of experience. I know that this may not be a problem for some but for others with many products in their rotation, if this is true, it could be an issue.

This is because Cella contains no preservatives. There was a thread about this once. I will try and find it.

The thread explains what It was that I thought I remembered about the Italian soaps. Apparently it only pertains to Cella. I may have to think about putting some of the tub in the freezer.

I've asked a similar question to Marco, who has been using Cella for the last 240 years -&- read his response to a "Cella storage" question that I ask him & User Chimensch, a long time user of Cella has posted something similar to what Marco wrote. I think you'll be fine.
