Good evening gents. As some of our regular members know, every October is buyathon month for me. Some years I get rather taken with it and spend just a bit too much. Ahem... Anyroad, it approaches soon and this year rather than just focus on the items we usually lust for, I want to try to mix in some exotic or at least some product that is not exactly commonplace. To that extent I am exploring some of the wonderful I Coloniali line. Namely the shave soap with bowl and the a/s balm with rhubarb.
What is more interesting is the J&E Atkinson's name that is associated with it these days. Atkinsons has been around in one form or another since 1799. Their English Lavender water is a classic and something I want to add to my toiletry kit. If you go to their site, JEATKINSONS, you will see a number of lines of products. I am unsure if the Atkinsons classic line is now made in Italy or if they are just linked monetarily. Irregardless, the site is a bit fussy to navigate. Do not use the back button in your browser. Look to the bottom left of your screen for a back button there. Use it or you will jump back to the splash screen where you choose which language you want to browse in. The neat thing is there are several products listed there under the Atlkinson line. A shave cream that comes with a brush. Aftershave splash and balm in lavender and even a hair cream in the same scent. See where this could get interesting? First things first. Is there anyone who has used the shaving products? The classic lavender water needs no investigation. All forum posts seem to suggest it is the same as it always was. Excellent.
For sure this October is going to see I Coloniali shave soap and the Atkinsons lavender water in the buy. Lets figure out some other semi-exotic items we do not see every day. Remember, you are helping me spend my money so you are out nothing but keyboard time!
Cheers, Todd
