Is XXX making a comeback?

I'd be happy with either, for me XXX is all about the scent. Joe's other products performed equally well - at least for me.

This is my favorite soap. I would give up all the rest for it.

This is good news. I came to wet shaving after XXX was discontinued and always wanted to try it. Razorock makes some of the best soaps out there (for a remarkably low price). I especially love La Famiglia line.

If the scent in XX is actually ADP Blu Mediterraneo incorporated into an RR base, I imagine the new XXX would be the same thing, but with ADP Colonia. Just a guess of course.

I would be happy with the XXX scent same stregnth in the XX formula, might actually be better than the original XXX, less slick but better cushion. The XXX busts into lather a bit faster like MDC, and of course ADP but XX is a bit thicker if you don't over water. The XXX will handle hydration a bit better meaning you don't have to nail the water content to get the best out of it but when you get XX right with water it is superb.

Maria although I'm not sure what "line" of products that one belongs to. It's pretty good, but the scent is a bit overwhelming for me. My favorites are the two karite products. If the original XXX miraculously came back I'd grab a couple. Otherwise I'd love for that scent to be put into the karite line.

That's what I thought after trying to match up the ingredients to your other "lines".

I know this is going to get me in trouble, but I actually like the XX better than the XXX. Scent, performance, container ... you name it, the XX is just flat out better for me.

I say leave the XX to the discontinued and hyperinflated market, and keep the XX around so I can enjoy it for years to come.

Trouble? I don't think so. YMMV and all that. Even RR Joe isn't a huge fan of the XXX according to one of his posts.

I still prefer XXX to XX (thought it's close) but the XX container is WAY better, I'll give you that. I really don't like the XXX pop off cap--same with Omega.

For anyone who has not been fortunate enough to try the XXX, you owe it to yourself to give it a go (even at the higher price.) It is clearly one of the best soaps I have ever used. Since XXX is Acqua di Parma, we will continue to have a supply in the brand name, albeit at $62 a tub!

Maybe RR Joe can clone one together, but it will never be like the real thing!
