Is this the Chinese 12k hone?

Seller rates it at 3k.

Its says 3k grit and the cnats are very dark brown to black in color and are rated 12k. Definitely not. woodcraft sells em among other places.

I'm not sure what that is. You cant really go by colour, the vary, but I would think that is not what we refer to as a Cnat. Quite small too. If it was as slow as a Cnat and that size you would be honing for a week.

Larry at Whipped Dog sells them in that size. If I was going to get a small one, I would definitely go through him. Check out his Razor Care Gear. He has the 2x4 C12K, and a DMT220 and a large 2K hone if you were interested. At least if you go through Larry, you know what you are getting, and you will get good customer service. Woodcraft has them too, so if you want a larger size, that would be a good route.
