What's new

Is that a real Brut?

Bought this aftershave this week and I can say it is really nice. It says Brut but it doesn't say any Faberge or whatsoever. It says it's made in Poland. Is that a real Brut or a clone?

I would say real :wink2:
Faberge is no more so Brut is being made by another company nowadays.
I have vintage Faberge Brut from the eighties as well as some newer stuff and the smell is the same as before. Enjoy it!

Nice bottle. Makes me wish we could get a glass one here instead of plastic. Geez now that I think about it what isnt plastic nowadays

In fact, I think that I even like that better than the iconic US glass Brut bottle.

I concur. I'll be getting a bottle of the standard Brut like this off of ebay eventually--I had five bottles of after shave come in this month, and I need to slow down a bit. :001_rolle

it's real Brut in the European-style bottle. I like this bottle better than the overly phallic U.S. version, so much so that I bought one on the Bay and had it sent from England. It dresses up the bathroom counter nicely.:biggrin1:

I received my Brut Alaska this week in the same bottle.

Well, it says 'Alaska' on it....

Anyway, the bottle is much better than the US plastic version.

I'd be interested in the ingredients list on the glass bottle version - my alaska has glycerin as the first ingredient after the alcohol and parfum, and the last ingredient as linalool, where my regular US Brut does not.

I wish we can get a bottle like that here in the US. I concur, why don't they sell us the glass bottles here? I'm about to make a burt purchase soon

You can get this bottle stateside from some ebay sellers from time to time.

I have tried a number of different Brut variations, several vintage bottles, this stuff in the glass bottle and current stateside drug store default. The scent is identical across all the different varieties

I actually found the scent in the glass bottles to be a bit lighter than what you get from the current brut stock in the states but yes, the bottle is cool and when empty I'll be refilling it with stock from the plastic packaging.
