Is it a bad idea to clean and use this antique razor?

I didnt mind the lack of shinyness at all, but was happy to hear that it was clean enough. After finding this, Inwas very excited to try it out, especially considering its age.

As a newbie though, I'd probably be better served by sticking with my HD until my overall knowledge and technique have improved.
