What's new

Is he SERIOUS?

BIN four hundred bucks?!

I picked up the one in my avatar for, I think, $36. And it only has one slightly bent tooth and no silver polish caked in the grooves. I realize bulldogs generally go for higher, but that's waaaay out of the price range I've seen.

Standard price deviation for glasgowgoodies. Most of the razors he sells are rare or one-of-a-kind and if people can't appreciate that, he will just keep them for his collection, thank you very much.

Bulldogs are rare but not THAT rare. If he likes them so much maybe he oughn't to be selling them. :eyeroll:

He does seem to have delusions of grandeur concerning any item he has for sale.
He also has a certain lack of knowledge, he currently has a auction for a common Goodwill NEW which he's claiming is the rare reverse stud version.
I would never buy from him just on general principals.

He does guarantee that you will be defiantly happy with it.

Me either. He just annoys the hell out of me with the outrageous prices he puts on them. Delusions of grandeur is a good way of putting it. I've put items at relatively high prices, but it's because they're worth that value unless you're in a recession (We're talking 100 dollars not 400). I also don't mind when people sell expensive razors at expensive prices, that's fine. This guy though reminds me of those stupid antique stores you go to where the guy is selling a tech for 100, and a toilet paper roll for 350 dollars because it has some flower pattern on it, and a plunger for 800 dollars because of the rubber its made of and so on.

I bought a lot of 12 Gem and Ever Ready razors off him once for $13.One of the Gem's was a rare open comb 1912.Guess he missed that one.

I decided long ago not to buy anything from these tools. All hideously overpriced and more often than not the pictures are taken in such a way as to hide the massive, and often undisclosed, cracks in the handles.

Even the very few times I have seen an acceptible deal from them I have shied away because of the general d-bag vibe I get from them.

I won't buy from "that type" of seller, and he's not the only source of this behavior.

Keeping my money from them makes me defiantly happy!:w00t:

I find him to be very helpful...I divide his price by three to get an estimate of a truly unreasonable price on a razor!
