Is Gillette silver blue going to be continued somewhere else? Any information?

After trying out a lot of different blades (more than 20 I guess), the GSB is still my favorite. Since the P&G factory in St Petersburg is closed, does anyone have any information if the silver blue line will be transferred to somewhere else or is it simply discontinued?

I have no inside information, but I would guess production will move to China. The King C. Gillette and Gillette Platinum did.

No, not all production has been moved from the PPI plant to China.

For now only the production of King C.Gillette blades and the Gillette Platinum blades, of course we hope only these will remain.

Did Gillette move all PPI production out of Russia? WHere are Nacets made now?

I believe Gillette is actually not the majority shareholder for the Russian facilities. AFAIK, they will continue to make blades for Russian domestic consumption and for export to some trade-friendly countries at the PPI plant. Production for other blades may be moved to China or India.

Some PPI brands are being made in India as well as China.

Aside from the King C Gillette and Gillette Platinum (Light Blue), there is also:

Astra Platinum (India)
Astra Stainless (India)
7 o'clock Super Stainless (China)

"Leninets and Gillette entered into a joint venture, Petersburg Products International, in 1990. By 1993, the two were producing blades and razors, with Gillette controlling a 78 percent share of the company, up from its initial 65 percent."

PPI is not closed. P&G 100% owns it. The issue is that the ribbon steel stock used to produce the blades is sourced from Sweden. Because of the fighting with Ukraine the shipments cannot be made. These are facts. I am hopeful this will help put end to the wrong guesses.

It's a joint stock company, AFAIK. That makes it more difficult to know who actually owns it nowadays. Maybe some data sleuth can figure it out.
