What's new

Interesting times

I had a fantastic 20-minute shave this morning with my boar hair brush, Proraso soap for sensitive skin, and a Wilkinson sword blade in my Gillette Aristocrat. Then I took another 20 minutes preparing capuccinos with my Rancilio Silvia Espresso machine. Now I can go online and tell a community people (there's another site for esspreso coffee machines) who give a flying f**** about any of it. It's a good thing I'm retired.

Seriously, though, it's hard to imagine needing any other razor or soap.

Pahahaha! Life is good, like the t-shirt says.
Welcome to B&B, the best forum on the net. And we always need pics.

Ha! You sound like my Dad he is a certified coffee geek, he roasts his own coffee and has a 'Silvia' of his own! I am trying to convert him to DE shaving though, I just told him that him shaving with that can foam is just like drinking Folgers! That statement must have hit home because in our last conversation he was asking about where to get a brush and soap!

But really traditional shaving is like Coffee in the fact that the industrialization of our society has done away with the good stuff in favor of the right now get it to me as quick as possible 'push button society'.

Welcome to B&B! By your orginal post above, it looks as if you're beginning to understand all that is in the universe! Happy shaving, sir.
