LSM spring lever

Anyone else using a 55mm La San Marco spring lever espresso machine?
I recently bought a Nurri and trying to find all new accessories for preparing the smaller size puck.
I'm part of a coffee forum elsewhere but any threads on this machine get shut down because guys hate each other. It's quite ridiculous. So, I'm looking for another forum to discuss these machines civilly.

I don't use that machine, but I replaced the spring in a Gaggio and it worked well. Not sure if there are any similarities.

Reg Barber is back. He retired to Penticton, but I don't know who is making the tampers available. He made mine for me in his shop in Victoria, as we chatted and toured the shop. Awesome guy, killer legacy! If you're looking for a tamper to be chuffed with every time you pick it up . . . .

I chose anodized aluminum for the handle over wood or other options available to me. Best balance. It was amazing to see all the different handles he had!!! Including hundreds of Tiffany and Co. Robins egg blue handles. Don't care about the name, the blue was very pleasing. Orange is my fave colour. I wrote my nickname, and he lazered it on the top.

Yes, I remember when Reg Barber ruled over tamping. Didn't know he was Canadian. Very nice.
I worked for years out of a shop in Saanich, and his shop was across the main road the whole time! 6 years, I was 200 yards away from his shop.

I looked a little deeper. He is making the wooden handles in Penticton, and all the CNC work is being done in Quebec.

I recently got a Nurri Leva with same group and have found some suppliers for accessories.

I am currently sorting out a Reg Barber tamper - you can contact Martha ([email protected]) to coordinate base and handle needs. They can provide exact measurement to 0.1mm.

Although the LSM group and PF basket are stated as 54mm, seem to be 55mm, I measure the inner diameter of the basket as ~58-60mm. I don’t have a caliper - just using mm measuring tape. Do you know exact inner diameter of basket?

For precision IMS basket, I bought online from Blue Star Coffee (bluestarcoffee.eu) Ireland (I was in Europe) I believe they ship worldwide and still have some stock.

I had read about SWorks (sworksdesign.com) PF baskets etc. but they don’t have any in stock and are not making more due to limited demand for the size.

I cannot find precision screen nor grinds distributor of the right size.

Hope this helps!

Hey welcome to the forum. There's a daily coffee thread here if it interests you. There are a few espresso makers there.
I found a Sworks funnel second hand from a guy who switched back to a pump machine. I received it today. It fits perfectly. I also bought the Laub funnel. Also very nice but not as perfect a fit as the sworks.
I also do not have calipers but the inside of the Nurri basket seems to be a full 55mm. It appears that custom tampers are in the range of 54.7 to 54.9.
Glad to see another Nurri user here.
I've only had my machine a few weeks and the shots are starting to get really good.

I' ve used a Izzo Pompei for over 10 years until I sold it three years ago.
Great machine.
