I have been using the VS boar with a nice soak, and I think it is going to shape up into a decent brush. The stiffness is gone and now its just nice and scrubby. Made a ridiculously thick superlather of VDH and Bigelow today. Lays it on nice as you plaese. Shed a single hair today, none yesterday. Looks like this is a really great value.

I put a VS 25.5 silvertip into this Hess handle below. I am REALLY happy with the knot. It is a bit of a lather hog, but is really soft and feels wonderful on my face. I am looking for another, smaller, handle to restore and will likely buy another VS silvertip for the project.
