I picked this up yesterday, but I don't know what I've got. The bottom plate is marked Gillette and fits with the different design of the top plate, but the handle doesn't look right. If you know about this could you help me out please.

Thank you very much. Of course the handle has the usual crack in it. I'll be watching for a handle to swap with this one. Thanks again guys
The Cooncat Bob one I'm using seems extremely well suited to the shaver. Changes it from "ehh" to "wow".

I like the lines on this one, I want to find someone locally that does good plating to have some of my keepers done.
There were several different designs for the Goodwill razors made starting around 1930. Yours is what is known as cap style #162 (like mine). Here is another thread on Goodwill razors that may interest you.

Wow, time flies by when your having fun, i remember that thread.
It was pretty much solid black tarnish when I got it - as were the other three $5 razors I got from the same vendor. I love the cleaning process actually. It never ceases to amaze me how they come out on the other side. The rest cleaned up just as nice if not better than this one. I have some before and after pics I'll post later.
