A few months ago when I started to shave with a straight, I tried a new puck of T+H Luxury Shave Soap and was somewhat underwhelmed. Seeing as my shaves were taking longer with the new hardware, I needed a soap with a great lather and plenty of cushion and glide to help me along my way and the T+H just didn't seem to fit the bill. I carried on using Tabac, C+E Sienna and DR Harris' Arlington with good results and enjoyed good shaving.
This past week, summer has arrived and with the onset of warmer weather, I decided that a mild, lavender-scented soap wouldn't be a bad thing to have in the rotation. Cue T+H Luxury Soap! I retired my Sienna until things cool down a little and tried the T+H this morning. It worked wonderfully well and I really had a great shave. I'm really not sure what the problem was last time around, but after loading my brush well this morning, things went very nicely.
I'm a convert.
