What's new

I'm deeply in love with this pipe based on appearance alone. How is the brand?

In my experience, Brebbia is a good brand. I own 2. Mind you, I was gifted them second hand, so I've never tried to break one in from new. Even so, the ones I have smoke well and the only thing I've done was to bore the airholes in the bowls so that they smoked a bit better. I doubt this is neccesary on a new pipe though.

I'm not familiar with the brand, but that is a nice looking pipe.

Practically, keep in mind that you will probably need to hold or support it with one hand the entire time you're smoking it. Straighter pipes take some serious bite
to keep level without a hand on it.

That's why I've preferred the deeply bent pipes - you can keep a bite on them much easier and hands-free.

YMMV, of course.

I have a Brebbia very similar to that. I bought it brand spanking new. !st bowl smoked like a dream. They coat the inside of the bowl with a tastless coating that allows the cake to start forming. You cant go wrong with a Brebbia.

These folks recommend Brebbia as a step up from good quality beginner pipes.

If you like it, get it. Remember, over time you're going to buy several more pipes. This will be a quality addition to your collection. Who knows, it may land up being your favorite.

ETA: The way I look at it, you can buy some high quality pipes for the price of a nice dinner out. The dinner gives you one night of enjoyment. The pipe can give you years. Don't sweat it.

As far as I understand it, Brebbias are good second tier factory made pipes.

Though Brebbia is not listed on this site, here's a great site for future reference.

If you are new to smoking a pipe, you will likely accumulate a few more, and you will want to designate certain pipes for certain tobacco types.

Aesthetics are part of the joy of smoking a pipe. If you like the look of it, go for it.
