If You have Oil/trouble skin this is for you...

This is for all of you that have oil/troubled skin that is prone to break outs in your beard area. I myself have VERY oily skin so when it comes to shaving i have to be careful of the products that i use because "moisturizing" isn't always great for me and later on in the day can lead to over oily skin.
I have found something that works wonders for me and it is.... Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap.... and Tea Tree Oil.

Here is the process of what i do to make this soap....

Here is what you will need:

-Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap
-A container (the Van Der Hagen Shave bowl works great!)
-Tea Tree Oil
-Boar Hair Brush ( it just seems to lather the soap better!)
-For best results, FACE LATHER!

-First Melt down the VDH Shave Soap (any small containere will do)
-Next when the soap is in liqiud forum add 2 or 3 teaspoons of tea-tree oil ( i use Spring Valley Tea Tree Oil you can find it at Wal-mart in the vitiman isle.
-Next you can add a couple of drops of your fav shave cream.. C.O. Bigelow and KMF work well..
-Then Stir it up and put it in the freezer for 10-20 min

The out come is the greatest soap you could ever use, you get a SUPER close shave , no irritation and clear skin!
This really has worked well for me and has been such a great go to shave soap that helps my skin stay clear and my shaves great!!!

If you try this let me know what the results are for you as well... just thought i would share some information! Thanks B&B!:biggrin1:

Sounds interesting. The best part is all the components are available at Wal-lyWorld, and B&BW. Just at our local Bath and Body works and they had lots of CO Bigelow stuff in their 50% off rack.

That's another thing that i like about this soap to... it's so Cheap! and lasts soooo long! It out performs many of my other $20+ soaps!

I may have to give this a try. I've been using the vdh soap on its own, but have been wanting to mix it up a little.
