If TarnX is bad................

Simply stated what is good? I posted earlier asking about using tarnx on a gold gillette tech to which it was made clear that tarnx was not the answer. So in that vein may I ask those of you into R&R what things are good? Thanks for listening, your advice is appreciated. bib

I'd avoid anything with petroleum based products on a gold plate razor. The gold is protected by a lacquer.
