i want to Try a Different Injector

...but I can't afford a Cobra. I love the Schick injector G. I own 3, PIFed one, and just bought another at EvilBay. RAD is burning in me...So what's the next injector I should try? BTW, I am still a DE kind of guy, just need me some injector shaves on the side.

:badger:

The I-2 is a nice shaving tool if you want to stick with the Schick brand.

PAL adjustable is one I enjoy using. Has a longer handle and more weight.

I like my pal razor as its a little bit more aggresive than the schick g model but not so much as the e model
but as ever ymmv.

How do the later (J, L, M, N) shave? Are they similar to the HydroMagic?
Cheers!

The hydromagic head shaves the same/similar as all of the other Schick injectors, it is just a little easier to rinse off as the head can be opened up with the blade still in it for cleaning. It is a maintenance feature, not a shaving improvement

More aggressive: E

less aggressive: L

Very different altogether: GEM 1912

+1 about the L (for me). I really like the look and handling of the Easy Rider, but I can't get a very close shave with it. Never a nick though.

I think the adjustables can be more aggressive then the E

Get a C.
Metal, no plastic, shaves as well or better than any razor I have. And looks dead sexy too.

+1 on hunting down an old Magazine Repeating Razor. I ran across one a few weeks ago and it's a fun little beast. Very unusual, but nicely portable and it shaves remarkably well. You do have to get used to the fact that it's very handle-heavy and the C's chunky square handle takes some time to acclimate to. Plus, if you find an open-comb version you can satisfy three niche shaver clubs at once - single-edge, injector, and open-comb! Combine it with a boar brush, some Arko, and the Veg and, well, you might just win some sort of jackpot!

Chadao, I knowyou specifically said you cannot afford the Cobra, but have you considered theCobra Tour? It is free to try and if youfind your forever razor it could save you money in the long run. Since you mentioned it I know you have at least read some opinions on it.

I usually headout to Kirkland and now Redmond every summer but it does not looklike I will be able to make it this summer or I would bring mine for you totry. I may make it in fall if I getlucky. Whatever you try good luck.

I might have to add the open comb to my 2014 acquisition list.
Don't see too many around.

I grabbed this shiny little bugger from an antique shop in town a couple weeks ago:

Thanks White Tuna, I might just try the Cobra. This time of the year I'm on the road so much I basically stop by my apartment, unbox any AD deliveries, and head back out. I don't travel much November-February. So I might wait until then to try the Cobra. In the meantime I'll probably acquire one or more of the above. Let me know if you make it out my way. At the least we can sit down for a cuppa and talk WS.

:ouch1::ouch1::ouch1:Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm sitting in a hotel at 6am in Montreal. Flying to Toronto later. Seems like a good time to start looking over at eBay (EvilBay is eating my money). You guys rock. What a great place, this B&B.

Sounds great. November to February in Seattle? They really did not give you the pick of the time to be there. Beautiful area but that is probably in a less desirable time of year. But I have been there in Jan and February and still had a good time. Be safe. Lots of storms hitting the east coast.
