I want suggestions

Since my Merkur is stripped, I'll probably be buying a new razor shortly. I would love suggestions from people who own these. I'm looking for something that is well built and will have good quality. I think I'd rather get a TTO (although not 100% sure) this time since the 3 piece is a bit cumbersome to change the blade. I'd also like to keep the cost under $50 and prefer the $30 range instead. I'm thinking the Parker TTO would be good - any feedback?

go to ebay, buy a used gillette, slim or fat boy, clean, sterilize, prepare it for your use.it is more satisfaction.
anyway, go to shavenation.com and buy one parker 99r,the big horse.beautiful machine.

Got to agree. For that kinda money a slim, super speed, super adjustable, any older Gillette would be good. Parker are a little poor in the QC on the TTO but the 3 piece are OK IMHO.

For $20 I bought a Feather Popular. It got good reviews and appears to be what I was looking for. I'll post when it comes in, but for now I'll be shaving with my Parker SR1 Shavette

Those RazorRock ones from Italian Barber are good stuff. Very reasonable price and they are nice. Don't let the price fool you, they are good razors!

I've used the Parker 82R. It was very nice. Tends to be on the mild side compared with most of my 3 piece razors. I have the Parker and Cadet 3 piece razors and they also shave well. I'm sorry I can't give you feed back on the Cadet TTO as I had given that away to one of the parents of my students.

See if you can find a Gillette RedTip razor online someplace (Like BST) or the Bay...they are an excellent razor (probably best thing Gillette put out) and will last forever (can you say Family Heirloom?). I love mine and use it almost as much as my Merkur 34c HD. I found mine at an Antique Mall and they are around in second hand stores too. Keep an eye out. You won't be dissapointed.
