What's new

I Used Cremo this Morning.

Picked up a 6oz tube at Walgreens for $7.99 with the mail in rebate for full purchase price. Never used a tube cream before. Have been using Proraso green, Tabac and MWF. I was quite impressed with the performance of Cremo. I shaved with my 37c slant. After a smooth 1st pass, the cream seemed dry on my face. Just wet my hands and rubbed my face and it slicked back up nicely for a comfortable 2nd pass XTG. The scent is light and it neither thrilled or offended me. This is a fine brushless shave cream. I don't see the need to try using a brush with it, as it's lubricating properties dont seem to require any sort of lather build up to give my face a slick surface. Based on the quality to price ratio, I think I will try the Cremo face wash and moisturizer, and see if they are equally impressive.

I also have a tube of Cremo shave cream and it's extremely slick and smooth. However, I do use a brush to build a lather and IMHO this stuff is very close in performance to my favorite Proraso green tube shave cream. That's a pretty big statement for such a large sized tube vs the cost and it is that good a shave cream too!:001_cool:

I bought a tube the other day and am going to try this tonight. I wish I could have gotten a tube with a full mail in refund but oh well. I am hopeful this gives me a shave as good as my beloved Noxzema.

I was excited to see this stuff at Wal Mart tonight! I picked up a tube for $5.97 less a $.75 coupon.

I will give it a whirl in the morning!

Cremo works great, but I couldn't past that underlying chemical funk underneath the orange scent. If the manufacturer could find a way to either reduce the strength of the stink or just add more fragrance, I'd probably start using Cremo again.

You got a lather from Cremo? Others on the forum say that's not possible so I haven't tried.

I got a lather when I used it. It builds a great lather that lasts the whole shave.....if you can shave in about 20 seconds!!! The lather was extremely disappointing, but the scent is really great, especially combining it with a second soap to add a citrusy scent to the mix. Very slick product that works really well. Also a great company.

My rebate took a long time to arrive, so I emailed the company and I had it in hand within the week.

I use it as a preshave. Great stuff. I always laugh at guys expecting it to lather. Do you expect your moisturizer to lather too? Not everything does..

Picked up a tube with the rebate a couple weeks ago when I was out of town. Not a high lather, but I think that's intentional with this type of cream. I don't find the scent very noticeable. I've been using it shaving my head a couple times a week with a disposable type razor. It's been working great for me in context, very smooth and good for multiple passes. Have also used it on the face a few times, but prefer the proraso there. All in all, probably the best shave cream I've found available in a drug store, worth a try for sure.

My Wal-Mart has it also ... it seems that they have added to and redid their shaving area. Now mine has Stetson Cooling Moisture after shave ... which I thought was discontinued.

I use the Cremo moisturizer and would definitely recommend it. It is a thin consistency that goes on easily, absorbs quickly, does not leave any oily residue and combats dryness and flakiness all day.

Not a lather like you get from lets say Proraso. I just sort of get a weak lather going and hammer it home with the brush on a very wet face. I've tried Cremo both ways, the first just rubbing it in to the skin like the directions say.

However, the 2nd time I just added it to my soap bowl with a little water and went a little nuts attempting to get a great lather like I'm accoustomed to getting......But it wasn't really necessary, I got just enough in the bowl and on the brush because you don't need much it’s so concentrated.

Run the brush good over a real wet neck & face, add a little water, maybe a little more Cremo straight to the face, hammer the brush home to a very smooth shaving experience!!! I just really like the way a brush gets the whiskers setup and ready for the blade!

Yeah, That’s the ticket!!!

Yep...WallyWorld $5.97 and a .75 coupon so I took the plunge. It seemed to me to be more sudsy than creamy and the scent, to me, was lashings of Alka-Seltzer. But I have to tell you, I like it! A 3 pass shave with a Derby in my IKO (Imported Knock Off) razor and a very, very nice shave! So, I think, aside from the brush restores I'm working on, I'm set for product for a while! LOL
