What's new

I just bought the Lone Rangers straight!

It belonged to a bloke called John Hart who played the Lone Ranger for the 1952 season. He died in 2009 and his Agent under instructions from his widow is selling off his stuff. It comes with a certificate of authenticity apparently. I thought it'd be cool to own the Lone Rangers razor.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that John?

That is far too cool for me to fathom...maybe it's even cool as a mountain lake...

$29.99 plus $12 postage. There's another 2 or 3 available if anyone is interested. They are all Buy It Now. He seemed to have a few collectors knives as well. I figured that the razor was worth close to that without the provenance.

That's a great find! If you don't mind me asking, do you know if any other interesting goodies (not necessarily shaving-related) are available from the estate?

I got a 5/8th Henckels 401 a few months ago from the same guy, it came with a old check from the Lone Ranger

I figured it wasn't his personal razor when I saw that there was a few of them for sale. Still cool though.

By rights, this should've been inherited by his grandson, the Green Hornet (whose memory is apparently going to be desecrated in the upcoming film).

I just bought one also! Thanks for the info! He was a hero to me when I was a kid, and who knows? He might have used these!!! I had three straits at one time, when I was poor, he had a lot more money so its within reason!!
