I finally won a butterscotch on eBay

I lurk on eBay quite a bit. Finally won an auction that might be a good brush, I have to wait to see. The auction was an old spice shaving mug, some soap inside and a brush. The seller told me the brush was imprinted "Culmak. Pure Badger Made in England SM1"

I wonder if the handle will be any good? Can't wait to find out.

Sadly the soap is not Old Spice, but Tonsorial. I have posted a separate post in the soap section. I never heard of Tonsorial soap.

That is a vintage williams soap. There was a thread recently talking about it and from that thread it is very good soap. Enjoy

Yes, I was thoroughly expecting to be outbid. Butterscotch brushes seem to go for crazy money these days.

The package arrived today. The brush handle is even nicer than I expected. I gave it a bit of a scrub with a toothbrush and hit the bufffer. Here are some photos.

The knot isn't much to write home about, so this will be my first restoration.
