I was trying a sample of AOS Sandalwood soap and was really impressed with the performance and scent. Later that day my wife sniffs my neck after giving me a hug and asks what is it that smells so good. I told her it was the sandalwood shave soap I was trying along with Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve aftershave. She said it was her favorite by far of all the different stuff I had been trying. She was rather - ahem - ardent in expressing this . Then I sighed and told her how much the AOS soap costs.

Her response: "It's worth it."

That had occured to me, so I tested Proraso Red with the SR, and she said good but not as good.

You won't smell your way into a new car, trust me. I was looking at one ton trucks yesterday, new they cost $40-$45K!!!!! I am not married and still can't talk myself into spending that kind of money!

My dad owned and operated the Chevy dealership in the small town I grew up in. The current wave of full size trucks are so over-built it's almost laughable. I'm just glad Hummer went away.

I got over my guitar AD long ago. Now they're just tools (I work at a recording studio engineering and producing records). I think I'm finally getting there with all the shaving gear.
