I didn't use a slant until this morning....

I thought these razors were supposed to be bloody-thirsty beasts and I was expecting slashes, gashes lashings of claret spilling over the bathroom.

But no - not even the merest hint of the red stuff but a fantastic shave.

Slants are like feathers...big talk of bloodshed and destruction but ultimately supreme tools of the trade and when handled correctly they yield excellent results...a fellow member in the united kingdom is the proud owner of my slant...and last I heard it was treating him well...lyd if you read this please have my slant write me a letter of his adventures in the uk!!

I never got on with Feathers - I guess they are too sharp for my liking. I am still a fairly brutal shaver. Maybe it is because I have to shave with what I can get easily in NZ - which are Indian Gillettes and some nameless Home-brand that is made in the USA. Not sure who makes them but they are not so bad!

An old type gillette is far more aggressive than a slant.
