I did something odd today

I've been neglecting my 1305 as of late. I've been using my Rooney 3/1 exclusively ever since I took delivery of it. So, today I decided to use the 1305 and I discovered I really don't like the brush as much as I used to. It's more scrubby that I prefer. I used it for my first two passes and decided that I really wasn't enjoying my shave as much as I would have liked, so I loaded up my Rooney for the last pass. I should have just used my Rooney from the outset.

Has anyone else switched brushes mid-shave just because they weren't enjoying the experience?

No. Too much hassle. You might be the first for switching ​because of the lack of enjoyment

Took my old Omega 10077 blue handle for a spin last week. Haven't used a boar for a good 18 months or so. Well broken in and whipped up a good lather, Boots own brand stick. It was good to use as it's the only boar I now own all the others have gone as I gotten more into badger. Still good though.

Loved my boar till I got a badger. IMHO badger is much superior when creating lather from soap. If I'm in a rush and grab KMF cream, the boar comes back out. I'm a face latherer either way.

The funny thing is, I have done what you did and it was with my 1305 too. Amazing brush, I really DID like it. But the more I pushed it to the back of my collection the less it stood out. Now it'll be on the chopping block in my next sale thread.
