What's new

I can't believe I have not seen this before.

For starters I looked at my strop at realized I had a glob of black tape goo at the top and when I started to wipe it it smeared so I stopped and had a brainstorm. Why not use a piece of tape like I would to get the goo off a razor when finished honing with tape. It worked perfectly and not a trace of goo remained and in fact left that spot looking brand new. I am always wondering how to get dust and debris off the strop rather than just wiping the grit in with my hands and that use of the tape gave me another bright idea. The sticky adhesive lint roller! It works perfect for removing all the loose debris from a strop. I use horsehide so I don't oil them and dust and other debris does build up fast. So the next time you want remove the debris and grit from your strop you may want to look for the lint roller. You probably already have one.

Well thats it. I hope it of use to some of you because it sure is to me.:biggrin1:
