I like Astra SP's. There are several other brands that are acceptable, and a few that I simply hate. I won't go into the details because I do not want to stir up that pot.
Just before I tossed "the hated" in the bin I tried one in my 37C slant. WOW!!!!, a great shave. I have tried some of the others in my different slants and they all perform beyond past experiences.

The slants seem to offer a correcting factor to make bad ,acceptable and possibly above.

I agree with you, Tom. For some reason my Hoffritz slant makes blades that I despise in other razors seem, if not great, at least acceptable.

I don't think that it's just slants with this power to transform dud blades into middle-of-the-pack finishers, though. Some blades work well in one razor and terribly in another. I think it's a synergy kind of thing...either that or slants are just the perfect razor!!!
