I ask your help to test my theory

This is so odd that I just noticed today.
My usual routine was to open the DE part way, rinse it off and set it down awaiting the next shave.
Following that procedure I would get 2-3 shaves per blade.
I use the Gillette Bleue Extra.

Well just this past week, I had forgotten to open it up and rinse it out and so far I have gotten 6 shaves off of it.
That's an amazing number for me and maybe it's just this blade, but I for sure am going to try it again.

I would like someone else to give it a try and see how it works out.

I have a theory as to why this might be but I would like more anecdotal evidence.

I can get a huge number of shaves from a blade when I put my mind to it, so I'm not a good test candidate.
But I've noticed a couple of things:

1. If you loosen a DE too far, the blade can move about and might get damaged during rinsing.
2. If you leave some DEs loose, the blade lies flat against razor parts, trapping water (maybe crud too?) If you tighten the DE the blade has better air exposure!

you would have to define loosen the head also.......
