How to hold the straight razor for ATG pass

I cannot remember if it was here on B&B or on SRP where someone posted photos of about 9 different ways to hold a straight razor depending on the type of pass (WTG, ATG or XTG).

Can anybody post a link if they know what I'm talking about.

I am curios to try an ATG pass on my neck but can't for the life of me find a comfortable way to hold the razor.

Thanks in advance!

You might even want to find your own way of holding the razor.

I'm right handed and when I go S to N on the right side of my neck, I bend the blade all the way back until it touches the scales, and hold it almost in a closed fist. I use my thumb and fore finger to position the blade. What the hey, it works for me. :w00t:

I remember excitedly looking at that page when my razor was in the post to me.

Turns out I use none of those grips for X/ATG. I just kinda let the razor find it's own place in my hand. As usual, whatever works for you :)

Thanks for the tips guys. I wanted to try an ATG pass the other night and just kept fidgeting around with the blade in hand not knowing what to do. Nothing felt comfortable for me at the time. This will at least be a good starting point for me until I can find what works best.

My neck just cannot get BBS with any razor (straight, DE or SE) without an ATG pass.

Grip 8 was perfect for me and it probably would have taken me all night to find a comfortable grip like that on my own.

My first ATG pass on my neck last night went pretty well - gave me a much smoother neck but a nice gash next to my adams apple as well. I will not give up on this.
