How to custom paint numbers on adjustable razor handle?

Howdy all,

I was browsing the B/S/T forum, and noticed a Merkur Futur that has since been sold that had custom painting on the numbers and marker (see the link to the post below - scroll down to the third picture to see what I'm talking about). Does anyone know how to do such painting? What kind of paint to use, what method to use to do it? I'd love to do something like that to my Futur when I get one!

Thanks for any suggestions!

Get some Testor's model paint at a hobby store, just slop it in the numbers (I use a toothpick) and then wipe off the excess. Works great, but it does take a little practice to get it just right. Sometimes you can wipe it wet, sometimes you have to wait till the paint dries a bit. The paint comes in tiny little bottles and is available in a ton of colors.

I was wondering if that would work. Glad to hear it does. I'll do in on my Slim after it's replated. Thanks for the advice.

I use my wife's nail polish. Car touch up paint might be nice too. Either way I just get it in good, let it dry, then wipe off the excess with acetone.
