I'm just curious as to how often everyone else here shaves. I usually do it ever 3 days or a little more, but I think I'd like to do it more often (Wow. Never thought I'd say that
). However, last time I shaved two days in a row, the first day gave me a solid shave (damn fine, dare I say), but the day after was sloppy and left plenty of irritation. Needless to say, I was not pleased. So I'm thinking maybe I just got wreckless while shaving on day two. How often do the rest of you shave?
Oh, and I think my lather could use some improvement as well. I'm still working on it. I've been using Proraso shave soap (the one in the green dish/bowl). Tips?
I have a Gillette Superspeed. Not sure what year, but it's the black tip variety. Sometimes I wonder about the angle of the blade as well. Lately my shaves have been good for the most part, so maybe I'm getting better in that respect. What advantages do razors which expose more of the blade give to the user?
How can you tell if your beard/whiskers are more "tough" than the average? Is there some standard by which to measure such a thing, a process of some sort or some general guideline?
Also, I don't have a drip stand for my brush. What should I do, other than buy one (which isn't an option right now, sadly).
I'll probably think of my questions as I go on.
