How many of you re-apply a pre-shave for each pass?

How many of you re-apply a pre-shave oil, soap, etc... with your shave cream for each pass?

I just started doing this and found that not only do I get a BBS shave it also reduces a huge amount of nicks and after shave burn.

Proraso pre shave cream and BAXTER OF CALIFORNIA SUPER CLOSE SHAVE FORMULA, which is technically not a pre shave cream, but felt so good as a pre shave that I ordered a tub to use as a pre shave.

One and done. No reapply. I make my own pre shave oil blend of grape seed, sweet almond and jojoba oils. Put it on after the shower, 3 passes, buff a couple of rough spots under my chin if needed and good to go.

I tend to use for the first, and last depending on how the shave is going. I use the first as soon as I get out of the shower as something to leave on while I make the lather. If the shave is going great then I don't worry, but if I notice it is difficult to get through I will apply some more for the ATG pass. It seems to help a little bit, even if all it might be doing is taking a bit of the edge off how much of the blade hits my face. :p I haven't noticed that I needed more with a more aggressive razor or not.

Proraso pre/post. Every shave. Every pass. Regardless of soap/cream/lather the FIRST thing hitting the face is that little green jar.

Probably more for ritual than effect nowadays but I still do it.

I have always only used it on pass #1, but after reading a few posts here...i'll try it every pass (3 pass) today and see how it goes.

product used will be RazoRock Professional Lube, which I find works very well.

Ok, i'll admit. I just tried it and it was pretty good.

not sure my end result was any smoother or better, but the actual shave process was very enjoyable, blade cut a bit better etc. not sure if it was because it was day 2 for the blade (usually my best shave) or the lube, but either way it was good.

it won't be something i do daily, but i may try it again on w/ends.

I figure that my pre shave (Proraso Green, Proraso White Balm, Jack Black Beard Lube, or Olive Oil), gets loaded into my brush when I do my first lather, mixing with my soap / cream of choice, so I'm covered for subsequent passes.

Typically I only use my pre-shave oil before I start shaving. I have experimented with waiting until the last pass and the results weren't as good. But if my face is feeling particularly sensitive i will use the oil before the first and last pass. I know some say a pre-shave is unnecessary but it has proven to be absolutely vital to me.

Too much work, if I don't face lather I just use goat milk soap or a shower as pre-shave. Might try though, will help clear product anyhow.
