How is Trumper's Coconut?

Hi all,

Tried a search but couldn't find much info, or review of this soap, in particular the tallow-free reformulation.

I want to try a new soap, and as much as I'd live to try all these lovely artisan soaps that are readily available across the pond, I find that the shipping costs are prohibitive.

So, having never tried a Trumper's (or TOBS) soap, only the creams, how are they, and in general, is one brand better than the other? Does the price difference of Trumper's soaps buy you better quality?

Also, I read somewhere about a reformulation, how are the Tallow-free versions in comparison?

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but "trumper coconut reformulation" didn't turn up much. Please do post links!

Trumpers' have done a good job on their reformulated soap, it is a good choice. I like the coconut soap and use it occasionally, followed up with some lime AS splash. D.R. Harris is another fine choice in soaps.

Trumper's Coconut is a wonderful soap. Taylor soaps aren't bad, but the scents aren't that great. I much prefer Trumper soaps to Taylor's and I think they are worth the extra price.

Trumper's Coconut Oil shaving soap is easily in my top five, i.e., it is excellent.

+1 Trumpers' actually got it down with there reformulated soaps. Your right there, coconut oil and almond are my 2 favorites

Trumpers coconut ... I can comment only on the scent of the cream, presumably the same scent as the soap, which is a nice "raw coconut" scent rather than the "toasted coconut" that might be more familiar to frequent users of suntan lotion and Malibu coconut rum.

Being in England, you may get decent opportunities to visit the flagship stores in London, and sniff the goods personally.

I'll second the earlier comments about DR Harris being super soap.

I've got the reformulation and really like it. Initially I had a few inconsistent shaves with it but once I got he lather right it works fine every time.

My favourite Trumpers scent. The cream is excellent.
