How do you use a shave stick with a pre-shave cream?

Do you spread the pre shave then rub the stick on your face? Won't that just smear it onto the stick?

I would imagine this is a possibility. Try it and see if it works for you.

You could bowl lather a piece of your stick first then apply it over the pre shave.

I do Pre-Shave first and then use stick as normal. This includes Pre-Shave Oil as well.

Forget the shave stick. What on earth are they for? you have tubs of soap and/cream to use ......
