I recently bought a gold Gillette Black Beauty w/ long handle, in excellent cosmetic condition. However it has a severe mechanical problem: the TTO knob will not turn, and the adjustment ring spins freely-- it clicks and turns, but goes right past the stops at 1 and 9. Round and round it goes, and as the adjustment knob turns, the silo doors can be coaxed open.
How does this razor disassemble? I am guessing that it has the same construction as other TTOs, with a nut inside the knob. But the BB knob is closed at the bottom, so I can't see what's what.
I'll appreciate all suggestions and guidance.
