How are Razor Blades made?

Hi,

I've been reading blade reviews, blade rankings, blade discussions, blade arguments, blade poems . . . Since I don't plan on buying more brushes and razors and creams and various other stuff I thought I'd learn what I could about blades.

What I'm wondering is how they're made? I wonder if any of you have seen pictures or have been to see actual blades being produced? I'd be especially interested to see the process where the final edge is created.

I'm new to DE shaving and my first blade purchases were:

-Gillette Stainless (red cardboard pack, St. Petersburg) - can't find much info about these here
-Bic (yellow cardboard pack, Greece)
-Feather
-Wilkinson Sword

So far I have only used the Gillettes so have no basis for comparison. Maybe I try Wilkinson next?

Stay sharp,

K

and http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5405302_razor-blades-made.html

Pretty basic. Maybe I will look for some pictures later.
