I have a Plisson brush with a natural horn handle which looks as though it could use some maintenance. How do you clean and maintain such handles? Is it possible to polish it with some kind of oil to give it its old luster back?

I just used olive oil on my buffalo horn handle. I think it worked great, it really shone afterwards
I've heard neatsfoot oil does the trick
Food grade mineral oil / beeswax mixture used for treating wood kitchen cutting boards is excellent for maintaining wood and horn shaving brush handles.

+1 On my slip for my custom brush from Rudy Vey it mentioned using neatsfoot oil once a week for maintenance of horn and wood also I believe.
