Hoffritz slant age

Hi everyone,

I have a couple of Hoffritz slant razors. Both come in similar metal boxes with blue flock lining, but one says "Hoffritz New York Made in Germany" on the inside within a diamond shape, and the other doesn't, only "Hoffritz NY Germany". I was wondering if anyone knows which one is older? The latter looks older to me condition wise, but just thought I'd ask

My Hoffritz slant arrived in the mail today. Mine is the "Hoffritz NY Germany" version. I can't answer which one is older, but hoping you or others can explain what the significance of New York is. I thought Hoffritz was a German company ...?
