Help with razor age, etc

Hi,

Can anyone give me any info on this razor.

It has A&A MFG.Co, Germany stamped on it.

It has wooden scales with screws and nuts instead of solid pins.
Would the screws be original or has someone modified it.

Thanks in advance,

Lynchy Snr

A&A Mfg. Co. is/was a subsidiary of Julius Dirlam & Sohne (J. Dirlam & Sohne).
Solingen manufacturers of scissors, manicure sets, tweezers, some knives, daggers and razors.
In business from 1856 until the present.
Most of their razor production appears to have been in the 1920s and 1930s.

I have seen a couple of other A&A razors and they had the traditional plastic scales with pins and washers.
The wood scales and not-so micro fasteners are not original. Seems to be a decades old restore.:biggrin1:
