Help to identify older Rooney Brush.

I have not been able to find out any info on this brush. Which means I am looking in the wrong places. I have included a couple of photos. The bottom of the brush is stamped "<R> England" and the end of the box is stamped "2961". Can any one enlighten me on age, model or type? Thanks

I am debating weather or not to use the brush. After more looking can not find any information on Rooney brushes.

That's in terrific shape, I'd hold off on using it, just in case it's really rare.

I'm not sure there is a connection other than name between the Rooney of today and of the past. That appears to be a boar/badger combo where the outer ring would have been badger while the center was boar.

I'm going to guess.

I think it's from the 1970's or maybe the 1980's at the latest.

Great looking brush.
You should try it out.
