Help Me Rate My Find

I've been getting the itch to get into straights and it's time to scratch it. I wanted to go the vintage route so I decided to hit up a few antique store to see what I can find. After striking and several stores, apparently other B&B'ers had beat me to the punch, I saw one store that looked like it specialized in coins but did say they had antiques. I figured it was worth a shot. When I walked in I didn't see anything on the shelves of their small storefront so I asked the girl at the counter if they had any straights she went to the back to talk to her father and came out with a couple of straights and several DE's. Focusing on the straights, I asked for a price and was told $40 so I figured I'd take a flyer on them. They're nowhere near shave ready so I will have to have them honed and the will need some clean up as well. Let me know what you gentleman think.

They look like the will both make fine shavers. You do not have much to do in the way of cleaning in my humble opinion.

Actually Sam, I found these in Upland. I was planning on checking out the stores in Riverside next.

Checkout the antique malls in Beaumont when you get a chance. I've seen a few on my visits. I try not to "clean up" all the razors to leave some for other shavers and you can find Techs, Super Speeds, and GEM's any given time.

I may have to.
