What's new

Help me identify this razor.

I just picked it up at an antique shop. It is a gillette that says made in England.
There is no date mark.
It's got a nice weight to it.
Looks like a super super speed to me but there is more space between the turn knob and the handle.

Nice. It is either a Rocket or a Parat. The only difference between the two is the the tto knob of a Parat is the exact same diameter as the rest of the handle and a Rocket has a slightly wider tto knob.

It seems to be the same diameter.

You're right. And the other difference is: Rockets were stamped with "Made in England" and Parats are without "Made in..."

It gives both Parat: with "Made in England" and without "Made in ..." The Parat was manufactured in Germany and England.

If you picked this up in Canada, it is likely a Canadian Rocket. It would come in the Red/clear Rocket case with Canadian blades and was a popular razor here. The razor itself was supplied by Gillette Industries (england).
