Help Me Find A Replacement For Mitchum White DO Stick

Good evening gents. These last few months have found me trying my best to use one of the alum block deodorant sticks. It is essentially a failure. I am not one of those guys who is unfortunate about the body odour issue. Of course under arms are always an issue if you do not use something. The alum sticks just won't do it. And I make sure to use it only on freshly washed arm pits. It just will not last. And I also made sure it was cleaned off well and dried too.

I am fairly blessed by being able to stretch a good dose of the old Mitchum solid stick(the white stuff, not clear gel) for all day use. It is a great product and it is scentless which was a bonus. Two big issues with starting to use it again. I think it has been discontinued. So yeah, that is a big problem. I cannot find it anywhere anymore. Only the gel. Second, what do you replace it with? To me this is an even bigger issue because most of the solid sticks are scented too heavily for me. Would someone hazard a suggestion? I can tell you what I really do NOT want. Sprays of any kind, wet roll on, or anything with much of a scent. Not too picky, eh? I would consider a clear gel ONLY if it performs like the white solids.

Regards, Todd

Hey chaps. Sorry for the lazy detective work. I went to Mitchum's web site and indeed, they do list it as available. It is just that our local Walmart quit carrying the solid as did most of our local drugstores. What a pain. I may have to order it online which is going to be expensive because of shipping but what the heck. No stinky arm pits is well worth it.

I tried to use their solid sticks and the first one fell apart on me on the first use. Called the manufacturer, and they sent me a replacement. This one fell apart on me too.

Deodorant should not be that finicky, and I have moved on to other products.

You and I took opposite paths. I used Mitchum for many years and the effects began to wear off. I got the Crystal body deodorant rock and it has worked well for the past month or two.

I don't know what's going on in your case, but I've used the crystal deodorant rock for the past several years with no problems at all. And I tend to sweat very heavy. :blushing:

You need to make sure you wet the alum stick first before applying / rubbing it onto your armpits. Rub until your armpits are dry with the alum stick. You may also want to rub it slightly in the area surrounding the armpits.

Mine is not an alum stick but a natural crystal (alum?) block the size of fist bought in Thailand on holiday. I was sceptical about it at first but then once I knew how to use it the result was brilliant. :001_smile
