Have you settled on ONE blade?

Just as the title asks.

Do you use one blade all the time in all your razors, different blades for different types of razors, or do you have a bunch of different blades and use whatever strikes you that day?

I've pretty much settled on the Red Pack Israeli Personnas for everything; a good compromise of sharp, smooth, long lasting and affordable.
There are a few others I thought were pretty good, and few I thought were crap, for various reasons, but the RPIP is pretty much IT for me.

How about you? Are your blade searches over, or are you still experimenting?

While the red pack Personnas are not my only blade, they are a staple in my rotation and a nice "home base" while I try out others. So far, other favorites of mine are Super Iridiums and Swedes. I hear good things about Sharks and will be trying those soon.

I've pretty much settled on Iridium Supers as my favourite blade. I have about a years worth of various others to use up before it will become my only blade.

I've settled on Red Pack Personnas and Dorco ST-301s - they provide the most consistent, closest shaves for me, and each one lasts about 6 shaves. I liked trying some different blades but after a while it just got to be too much going through all those sampler packs...

I think I'm going to make the switch to only IPs with my DE razors. I really like Feathers and Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellows, but I think the clincher is the affordability of the red IPs for what isn't a huge performance different to me. I think I would prefer the other twos slightly for performance, but not a level of performance that is a big enough difference to justify the extra money.

Not over, but I do pretty much have the blades I'll use going forward figured out.

It's important to have at least one figured out, that way you can begin stockpiling in preparation for the coming Shavepocalypse.

Experimented for 6 months, returning to Feather every few weeks. For me, a week's worth of close, comfortable shaves with each blade. Bought 100 so I'm set for almost two years.

Red Pack Personnas most often but when I will throw in a Feather when I want a really sharp "one use only" blade.

I would still like to experiment but the selection around here is limited and I have yet to find anything sharper than the Feathers

Crystal IPs... primarily because they don't have the glue/oil spots on the blade... at least I haven't had any baldes with them so far in my pack of 100.

Experimenting as we speak, But it seems nothing beats the Red IP so far, followed closely by the feather. The all around quality, smoothness, comfort & price of both is what has set them apart for me. But then again, there are several different blades in transit to me as I type these very words...

I roamed around for a while but I've settled on Feathers too. Work well, reasonably priced, pretty easy to get. I have quite a few on hand now, and I'm thinking about buying enough to get me through the next decade or so.

Funny you should ask. With my Merkur 34G HD, I had pretty much decided that Gillette 7 O’clock Yellows and Feathers where my blade of choice. However, I just switched to a Merkur 12C and I got a great shave yesterday and today from a Red IP. The Red IP seemed a bit mild in my HD, but they are much better in the 12C. The feathers seem too aggressive in the 12C. I will go back and try everything again in the 12C!

I'm a big fan of the Red Pack Personna's. I have about 400 stashed away. A close second for me is the Dorco 301's and I plan on building up a stash of them as well. Being laid off work makes the lower price of theses two compared to performance a major factor. I am very satisfied with the quality of the shaves they give me tho.

I continue to experiment with other blades. I like to go back and try blades that didn't work so well when I first started out. Being cheap, I will try to use up lesser blades if the shave isn't too harsh.

I just stick with Derby. That is because I am cheap though. If I could experiment a bit more, I would just like to try out Feathers.

Mostly Red pack Personnas and if I feel wanting to have a bit sharper more aggressive blade, then Derby blades.

On Progress I use sometimes Feather blades on a mild setting, but they dont agree as well with my face and gove too sharp stubble.
Then I have many other blades as a samples but I have seldom interest to use them.
