When I first started using soap and brush it was Williams with an old badger brush. I would only have the one puck until it was gone. After discovering B&B, I now have 75 different soaps & creams.
Have you ever 3017ed a soap/cream?

In 9+ years, only once. Overloading my brush, I finished off an Ogallala Bay Rum in 32 shaves. At present I probably have 25 soaps, some 9 years old, and have no plans to ever 3017 another.
Nope, I've used a soap for one month at a time but after that I need to change it up. I have 3017'd aftershaves though.
If the true def of 3017ing is finishing one at a time without straying to another brand... I have never done it. I have finished product tho.. a tube of proraso red is gone... and a tub of TOBS Sandlewood has one... maybe two shaves left in it.
I use one soap or cream until it is gone unless I go out of town. Then I use a product which I can carry on, or I buy a product where I am visiting. Every second or third product gets interrupted.
I always finish what I start. It is rare for me to have two or three soaps open at the same time.
check out my daily shave pictures, I try my very best to 3017 a soap, I call it 86'ing however. Regardless, I did it with a tube of white proraso, a 2.25 container of colonel conk lime, and then recently a tub of proraso white. I'm thinking by the begining of January, I will have 86'ed a tub of proraso red. For aftershaves, I only finished one, and that was a bottle of Italian Barber Amici.
I have no idea how folks could stick to one soap day after day after day.....

No way, i couldn't even imagine 3017'ing a small sample, nevermind staying loyal thru an entire fullsize. The whole fun of this hobby is discovering all these new soap scents instead of just using the same old rusty can of goo over and over like i did in my previous years of shaving.
I've got a bunch of samples and a few fullsize soaps and sticks...an assortment of scents for every season, types of weather, holidays, hot days, rainy days, snow. Some get used more than others but i try to never use the same thing 2 shaves in a row.

I have to agree with AA on this.
The only cream that I have really 3017nd is a tube of Nivea Sensitive.
I use Van Der Hagen Deluxe until it's just a sliver then buy a new puck at the grocery store. I also use a tube of tooth paste until there is no more paste then get another.
A dear friend sent me some nice soap and I use it occasionally. Williams in in my travel case.

For 30 years I only used one soap at a time. For the last 20 of those years it was Body Shop Maca Root. That’s a lot of 3017ened pucks!
Then 2 years ago I moved to vintage DE’s and since then I change soap every day, have 6-7 soaps and creams in irregular rotation. Love the variety. Same goes for aftershave splashes. And razors

I’ve done it with Cade soap, fine soap, and Proraso cream. but not currently.
My first VDH and my first AoS sandalwood cream. Not too bad being 6-7 months in. 2 samples as well 
Man I’ve cranked through some product, now that’s I start thinking about it.
I enjoy the variety and feel that some soaps/creams are better suited for different seasons. For example, I am drawn to mentholated soaps/creams/AS in the warmer months...not so much in the cooler months.
