Has Anyone Tried Grigio Perla For Men?

I read one review on Basenotes calling Grigio Perla one of the very best barbershop fragrances along with T&H Grafton. I think Grafton is sublime, so the review by itself made me drool.

Can anyone tell me what Grigio Perla smells like and your impressions of it? Comparisons?

There is something very special about Grafton. When I use up my first bottle, I will buy more. Grigio Perla is enjoyable, if I should go through a whole bottle I may replace it.

I wish I had the know how or vocabulary to convey the differences, so take my opinion with proper skepticism. I find Perla to be a conventional nice grassy scent. Not thrilling, but nice. Grafton has that something which can alter one's frame of mind.

No, actually that was quite helpful. I am quite enamored with the scent of Grafton in the same way you have described. Appreciate your perspective on Grigia.

I recently sampled Grafton and liked it enough that I'm considering a purchase. I read reviews on basenotes and saw where Grigia was mentioned, so I did some searching around for any info on it. It sounds intriguing and I may spring for some of it as well. It appears to be discontinued, but can easily be had on eBay. I'll report back on the scent and my impressions if I break down and acquire it.

Break down, you know you wanna! :tongue_sm

Oh dear, after all that, I broke down and got a bottle! :tongue_sm It's in the mail. Will report back with a review next week!

Came in the mail today (obviously) so I gave it a spritz...WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!

Whoever that guy was on Basenotes knows the score. Grigio Perla is 100% barbershop delight. An Italian barbershop, located near a pine forest, with basil & ferns and oakmoss. This stuff is GREAT! There is nothing synthetic smelling about this frag to my nose.

It's somewhat similer to Rive Gauche, except it's not as sweet and powdery (doesn't seem to have the lavender / anise or geranium notes), it's more fresh and green. Man, I'm in love.

This stuff will go great after a splash of Musgo Real. The scent is in the ballpark, especially on the drydown, although it does not have the earthiness (pachuli/vetiver?) that Musgo has. None-the-less, a match made in heaven.

Someone needs to write a review of this stuff on B&B because I think many, many members will love this stuff!
