Has anyone ever Milled MWF into a shave stick?

I'm at a loss what to do when travelling, in the past I have brought shaving cream with me, but never get as good a shave with a straight as when using MWF.

I have just purcased a vintage travel set, with chrome containers for brush and soap. I was wondering if any one has milled the fat into a shave stick?

If not what do all you fellow MWF users do when traveling?

Sure, why not? The only difference between a puck and a stick is the shape it was formed into.

You could just cut a little wedge off. That way you don't ruin the whole puck! What a waste!

I use a cheese grater and grate the MWF onto a paper plate. Then you can form the flakes into anything you want. I use one of these metal bowls for travel. The lid fits nice and tight and it works well.About 12 bucks on ebay.Item #310210804465.

Or you could just use the puck on your face, unless you want to make it smaller, than cutting off a wedge would do the job as well. I just use the puck on my face, and home and when travelling...

Use an old shave stick cover to form the new MWF stick, then just cut it out or see if it knocks out on it's own. I haven't done it, but i'd be interested in the result.

Yep, over the weekend. Put the puck in the frig and then grated it with a cheese grater. Then pressed the shavings into a empty stick from WCS.. actually filled two sticks with a little left over. Then (like I think I saw on B&B in another post) I dropped the tubes into warm water for a few minutes and then put them in the freezer. They look and work just like store bought sticks.

Awesome, I'm going to be doing this as soon as my empty sticks get in from WCS. How can I get the puck out of the aluminum tub from WCS since the puck has swollen from use?

Can you let me know the dimensions of the Shave stick containers, they have two one for 2 oz and one for 0.75 oz and Im not sure which one I would need

I used these http://www.westcoastshaving.com/Twist-up-Shaving-Stick-Containers-2-oz_p_649.html from WCS. One MWF puck filled 2 both packed very tight with a little left over. In fact they turned out so good I did the same thing today with a puck of Muhle Sea Buckthorn.

Those are what I have being delivered. Only going to fill up one stick with MWF though. The rest are for shave sticks that don't come with a container. I should've bought a couple of extra though!
