Harris Shave Stick Question

I've been using a Windsor shave stick lately. I'm really enjoying using Harris in stick form, but I can't stand the container it comes in. You can't put the cap on without retracting the soap all the way down again. I find this fairly annoying. Do the rest of you gents using Harris sticks find you have to do this as well?

I love the Harris stick container due to this fact....it actually helps save more of the soap over time. I have tried the aftermarket shave stick containers and in my opinion, they are nowhere near as good.

That's interesting. Not that I disagree (in fact I've never used a Harris shave stick), but why would having to retract the soap save more of it over time?

I would assume it's more that you don't use up as much soap in stick form since you aren't over-loading the brush.

Well, that's just shave sticks in general. The Harris container has a rim inside the cap that forces you to retract the soap all the way back into the container. Otherwise you can't screw the cap back down. Imagine having to retract your deodorant all the way down each time you used it before putting the cap back on.

Oh I was talking about the "using less as stick form" comment. I haven't used DRH before. I'm thinking about puck vs stick though.
