I have read a lot of reviews that say this stuf is magnificent. Who makes it and is it really that great? Also, which sandalwood scent does it compare most closely? I am familiar with TOBS and AOS. Thanks!

Never used it myself, but Green Pond is actually the "lost" D.R. Harris Sandalwood cream. Harris makes it for Green Pond, but for some reason doesn't market it themselves.
In terms of scent, by all reports it matches Harris' Sandalwood AS splash. A very sharp, woody/powdery aroma with aniseed. Distinct and unlike TOBS and AOS, but in the same zipcode as TOBS.

I have used the cream and Kevan's thoughts pretty much echo my own. A great match to D R Harris' Sandalwood AS and Green Pond confirmed to me that the cream was made my Harris. I traded mine away for some soaps, but would be tempted to buy it again just for the scent.
So there is no one on this large forum , who can help us out with a small sample ? I'll cover the shipping ...just want to make sure it is for me - before getting a tub .

I've been here a long time and I have very rarely seen it mentioned. I don't think it's widely-known or popular, for that matter. Perhaps you could email Green Pond and request a sample?

Green Pond sandalwood cream has been one of my top creams for about 4 years now. Although it's still available from Green Pond the supply is finite. It's been out of production for some years. For those of you who would like to experience a D R Harris branded cream prior to the major reformulations that impacted all Creighton-made creams back in 2007 (I think), this product is it.
Same here, emailed them about a month ago, nothing..
if it smells like DR Harris Sandalwood.. i MUST have it =)
