I would like to have heard your review of GIT but your intro is well long..
I've gotten a sample...don't get how it warrants such a high price. I dunno, it's alright.

lol, that is true. Oh well, there are shorter ones that are very easy to find. And there are reviews in the review section of the website that might better suit you. For me, if I'm going to plunk down $200, or $300 on a fragrance I want to know everything that I can about it before I do so.

Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder. In my mind it's a top 2 or 3 Spring scent. It's a timeless classic and while I would balk at paying the $300 retail, for me at $160 or lower, it's a no brainer.
Maybe so, but I just don't really like the fragrance anyways. If you're happy, I say do it. I'm more into herbal/spicy stuff so it's all good!
Nothing wrong in your objective but maybe a retitle is in order. Lol
I was so let down when I finally got to try this. Without a doubt one of the most overhyped frags in my opinion.

i rec'd a 4ml decant from Decantshop...it came in a little purple baggie...lol. cool place to do business with.
i am going to wear it this week and see what my opinion is then. so far, so good.....for sure, there is a Cool Water association...at least to my untrained nose.

I can't get the Cool Water similarity at all. What it smells like to me is Irish Spring Body Wash.
it's my first day with this stuff, but so far....I like it. I put it on before I left the house this morning...about 5:50am and I'm still catching fresh, refreshing whiffs.

Agreed. The scent was okay but not worth the cost of admission. I found it synthetic.
I agree that it doesn't live up to its reputation. Starts out cloying then turns sour.

I have Aspen, and if I run out of it then I will get Caswell-Massey Greenbriar. They both scratch the GIT itch in my opinion.
I agree it is kinda overrated but you have to give credit to creed
you can smell the quality and the pureness of its ingredients in every bottle

then do it with any creed bottle and see how strong and powerful the scent is

I don't get the Cool Water association at all. If you really want something similar to GIT look at Bond No. 9 Chez Bond. GIT and Chez Bond both share a "green" smell to them, where as I get a "aquatic" smell from Cool Water.
